Someone Else's Worldნიმუში

"Lord, teach us to pray..." Luke 11:1
We live in worlds constructed by our minds and our definitions of good and evil. We're constantly shaping our lives around what we deem to be of value or the standard of success. Here are some examples of the worlds we construct:
- Around my child's happiness
- Around my child's soccer schedule
- Around conspiracy series
- Around work success
- Around screentime
- Around anxieties
- Around accumulated failures
- Around our civil liberties
These are just a few examples of how we build our worlds, and in return, we expect God to bless our endeavors and produce a flourishing Garden. However, God never intended for us to build our lives around our families, work, dreams, successes, and failures. God intended for us to build our lives around our relationship with Jesus, God's mind, and assimilate to His design for living. When we embrace and build our world with the Truth of God, the Garden Kingdom will spring up around us.
Jesus addresses how we build our worlds WITH Him, and it all starts with the Lord's Prayer. Before we can memorize, recite, meditate, and embrace The Lord's Prayer. We must humble ourselves as the disciples did and ask Our Lord to teach us how to pray.
THINK ABOUT IT:
1. What world do you construct when you hear the Lord's Prayer mentioned? Religious past, rhetoric, background noise?
PRAYER PROMPT:
Lord, teach me how to pray.

About this Plan

What if we traded our little worlds for the Eternal Kingdom, now and to come? Walk with us, line by line, through the Lord's Prayer as we begin to release our grip on how we think we should live and embrace how Jesus wants us to live.
