Trusting the Holy Spirit to Lead

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you”
Acts 1:8 NIV

One of the biggest fears people have about sharing their faith is not knowing what to say. The good news is that you’re not alone. In Acts 1:8, Jesus promised the Holy Spirit would empower and guide us.

The Holy Spirit is your helper—He prompts you, gives you the right words, and works in the hearts of those you’re reaching. Luke 12:12 reassures us: “The Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”

Here’s how to trust the Holy Spirit more:

• Pray before conversations, asking God to guide your words.
• Pay attention to prompts—like a nudge to speak to someone, share a story, or offer to pray.
• Trust that God is already working in people’s lives; you’re simply joining His work.

When you rely on the Holy Spirit, the pressure to “get it right” disappears. Your role is to show up, be authentic, and trust that God will use your efforts.
