Confidence in the Gospel // Gospel X - Multiplying the Message

DAY 6 OF 7

“It is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Ro 10.10). What a remarkable verse.
You are justified and saved by believing in your heart and professing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and that God raised him from death. It is totally unimportant where you are from, what you have done before, who you are associated with, if you are male or female, rich or poor, healthy or sick, and so on.

All these things are not of interest to God. He looks into your heart and at your mouth. Isn’t that amazing? Whatever you have done before, once you believe in Jesus and His resurrection, it does not count anymore for God. You are a new creation. Imagine it like this: after your death, you stay in front of God and he takes out everything you have done wrong, but instead of starting a long list of wrongdoings, Jesus goes and stands in front of you and declares “he is mine and there is nothing to be said”. Your faith in Jesus and confessing Him is enough that you can stand in front of God, the Father in heaven, clean and without blemish. There is no shame, no fear, no guilt. You are part of Jesus' family and therefore part of God’s family.

Are you embracing this truth?
Are you doubting it?
Is it hard for you to believe that this really applies to you?

If this is the case, pray and ask God and the Holy Spirit to confirm this truth in your heart. Use God’s word to declare this truth to you. If you accepted the resurrected Jesus as your Savior, you can trust in this promise: you are saved and justified.

About this Plan

Confidence in the Gospel // Gospel X - Multiplying the Message

Jesus left the church the vision of a movement when he challenged us to reproduce from our own Jerusalem into “Judea, Samaria and the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). For us to see a movement, we need every Christ follower to adopt Jesus' personal mission to “seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10). Evangelism is core to the mission of Jesus and essential to accomplishing his vision. In this reading plan we will explore why is worth to be shared.
