Six Lessons for Advent

DAY 6 OF 6

Accept God’s word of prophecy

God’s word of prophecy is very powerful. But it takes time to see its manifestation. And in between the time you receive the Word and the time it happens is a process that will require enduring faith from your end.

Look at Mary. She received an unusual greeting from an angel she had just seen and spoken to that the savior of the world would come through her with mind-boggling explanations. What do you think she would have done in response to these? She would have become adamant with the word of prophecy and never followed up on it. But God knew her heart. After the angel Gabriel had finished speaking, she said:

“Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” – Luke 1:38 (NKJV)

Mary believed everything she heard and kept it in her heart. In the same way, when God speaks to you about what He is about to do in your life, don’t be idle about it. Treasure it in your heart. It will help you to be constantly mindful and prayerful about it. The Lord God will never fail you. Believe it.

About this Plan

Six Lessons for Advent

Advent is such a beautiful season each year to reminisce about the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
