DAY 3 OF 5

Day 3: The Strength of a Small Inner Circle

A small, focused inner circle can often have a greater impact on your life than a wide network of acquaintances. In Luke 6:12-16, we see that even Jesus, though He ministered to many, chose only twelve disciples to be His closest companions. And within those twelve, He had an even smaller group—Peter, James, and John—with whom He shared more intimate moments, such as His transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-9).

Similarly, we need a core group of people who speak into our lives with wisdom and grace. These are the people who see us at our best and worst, who offer honest feedback, and who encourage us to stay true to our values. As Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Think about your inner circle. Are these relationships nurturing your faith and helping you grow, or are they draining you? Building and maintaining a small but intentional inner circle is key to personal and professional success.

Reflective Question: Who in your life sharpens you and helps you grow into the woman God has called you to be?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the people You have placed in my life to walk closely with me. Help me to invest intentionally in these relationships and be a source of encouragement and growth for them as well. Amen.
