Hatred Towards Israel and the Jewish People

DAY 4 OF 7

The Darkest Valleys in Jewish History

Over the past few days, I have told you about hatred towards Israel and the Jewish people. The absolute lowest point is the murder of six million Jews during the Holocaust. Jews call this the “Shoah,” Hebrew for “annihilation”. That this systematic murder took place in Europe, which was predominantly Christian, is food for thought ...

You have just read a prophecy shown to the prophet Ezekiel. The vision of the valley of dry bones. It is a gruesome vision: a ravine filled with human bones ...

Near Kiev in Ukraine, there is also a ravine. It is called Babi Yar. Within two days in 1941, this ravine turned into a mass grave. 33,771 Jews were shot here and thrown into the ravine. There are hundreds of these mass graves in Eastern Europe….

Not surprisingly, when Jews read Ezekiel's prophecy, they think of the Shoah. Above the entrance to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, is Ezekiel 37:14: “I will give My Spirit within you, you will come alive, and I will put you in your land.” Ezekiel's prophecy is about Israel. Out of the deepest ravines of bloody history, God will bring His people back to life. He is bringing them back to the land of Israel and promises to breathe His Spirit into them. He will raise them from their graves. The deepest hatred towards Israel cannot stand up to God's love for His people. He will bring them from death to life. He is bringing them home and will restore His people!

Pray today: God, we cannot comprehend the suffering of Your people. Throughout history, they have been hated, persecuted and murdered. Help me to stand beside them and suffer with them when they suffer. Thank You for bringing them home, right out of the deepest depths of the Holocaust. Amen.

About this Plan

Hatred Towards Israel and the Jewish People

Israel has been hated as a people throughout the ages. Even before they entered the land of Israel, King Balak hired the prophet Balaam to curse the people. Later Haman sought to destroy the Jews. Antisemitism has taken various forms throughout the centuries. Unfortunately, it was often fueled from within the Church. Where does this aversion to Israel even come from?
