Behold His Majesty
God is a mighty God. He is mighty to save. He is the Holy One who sits over the nations. God is the maker of heaven and earth and everything in between. He placed the stars and calls them by name. With a word, the wind and waves obey His instructions. To know God is to know of this power and majesty. It is to know His unlimited strength.
It is to know His unmatched power and endless love.
God is unmatched in every way, but for us to fully know that, we need to behold and adore Him. We need to sit at His feet, fix our eyes on Him and behold the beauty of His face and the depth of His love. Without this, we can’t fully see God and all He is doing in our lives. Every day, God is working in our lives. Not all miracles are big; God’s power is also found in the small everyday happenings. But without pausing to behold Him, we miss them. We miss the small doors He opens and the interactions He orchestrates. We miss the appointments that open and the doors that close to prevent us from going down a painful path.
God’s love and power and might are constantly on display but we can often miss them because we don’t make time to sit in His presence and declare His majesty.
Can I encourage us today to stop and behold Him? To look upon His face in awe and wonder and love. To delight in Him. And as we do that, may He open our eyes to see the tapestry He’s weaving around us.
