DAY 23 OF 25

Take a minute to ask yourself this question—when do you find it easiest to worship? Is it when you finally get that promotion you’ve been praying about for months? Or when you’ve just sat down after a perfect day with your family, full of kind words and some spotless kitchen counters? When those things happen, it feels pretty natural to take a minute and just say . . . thanks. To acknowledge the greatness and love of God. But what about those days when everything just seems to go wrong? You know those days, full of flat tires, sarcastic comments, and broken dreams. And for some of us, those tough days have stretched out into weeks, months, and even years.

When life isn’t easy, praising God for what He’s done may not be the first thing on our minds. Instead of being full of praise and wonder, we place the blame for everything that has gone wrong directly on God. But in those times of trouble, when we feel our most alone, is when we need to praise God the most. To acknowledge the One who holds the power of the universe, and who still takes the time to hear and love His children. And it can start with just one sentence. Right here, right now, take a minute to fully praise the Lord for who He is, what He’s done, and what He has promised to do.

About this Plan

Everyday

When it comes to our relationship with God, habits can take on a huge role. They can work to help us stay consistently connected to Him, or become distractions that keep our minds focused on what we want and not on what God wants for our lives. We’ll take a look at how being consistent with our spiritual habits helps us maintain a close relationship with our Savior.
