Everydayნიმუში

As believers, we were never promised an easy life. Of course, we get to spend eternity with the God who knows and loves us the best, but while we’re here on earth, we go through just as many problems and difficult circumstances as anyone else. And in some parts of the world, our faith is just the thing that leads to a life spent persecuted or distrusted. With a life not so different from everyone else, why is it so important to have faith? Likely, members of the early church were probably asking themselves the same question. But instead of choosing a path of least resistance and going back to the beliefs they knew before, early believers chose to spend their lives worshipping and following the one God they knew to be true. And they did it with a simple plan—be joyful in hope, patient when things are difficult, and always stay connected with God through prayer. A simple plan that can make all the difference when it comes to facing the ups and downs of everyday life.
Take a minute today to write this verse down somewhere you’ll be able to see it every day—maybe on the Notes app on your phone, written on an index card in your wallet or purse, or even on a sticky note by your front door. Challenge yourself to read the verse each time you see it, and remind yourself of the simple ways we can stand together in faith.

About this Plan

When it comes to our relationship with God, habits can take on a huge role. They can work to help us stay consistently connected to Him, or become distractions that keep our minds focused on what we want and not on what God wants for our lives. We’ll take a look at how being consistent with our spiritual habits helps us maintain a close relationship with our Savior.
