Daily Prayers for MenSample
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. HEBREWS 4:16 NLT
To maximize the impact of your prayers, start with your approach. Take a moment to consider where you are and what a privilege it is to be there. Prayer transports you to the throne room of heaven for a personal encounter with the Creator and Sustainer of all. And you don’t even need an appointment. You can boldly approach Him, knowing that He will never turn you away. Not because you’ve earned the honor, but because He is gracious. Jesus’s sacrifice makes it possible for you to enter God’s presence. You can take any request to Him, not because you know what needs to be done, but because you know He does. Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “May Your will be done” (Matthew 6:10 NLT). That’s the target to aim for when you pray—that God’s will, not yours, be done. God’s will being done guarantees the best possible outcome. When you link your will with His, you can boldly enter His presence any time, knowing that your prayer will be answered.
God, thank You for the privilege of entering Your presence. The fact that I’m able to talk to You one-on-one is so overwhelming that it doesn’t always fully register. I am humbled by the opportunity to talk and listen to You. Guide my thoughts and desires as I pray so that they align with Your will.
Let me never lose sight of your mercy and grace in my life. Amen.
