When a Leader Gets Discouraged

What do you do when you get discouraged? Do you run toward God or away from God? Jesus knew it would be hard. He told us that it would be hard for us, just as it was for Him. He asks us to stick with Him, to keep our focus on Him. Scripture after Scripture encourages us to trust in the Lord. Making a difference in the lives of others doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a daily commitment, a lifestyle. Do you let your discouragement separate you from God? Don’t quit. Stay with God.

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.—Psalm 27:14

Prayer: Lord, You know where I’ve been discouraged lately. You know the struggles I am facing. I need You to strengthen my heart as I wait on You to act. Keep me focused on You, Jesus. Thank You for knowing my need and loving me. Thank You for strengthening me through Your Spirit. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
