Kingdom People - the Early Churchნიმუში

The book of Acts tells the story of the early church. Acts chapter 2 describes how the Holy Spirit came upon all the believers gathered in one place. Next, it tells us how Peter preached to the crowd, and 3,000 more people joined the believers in one day! Chapter 2 ends with this amazing description of what it was like to be part of the early church.

This could describe what meeting together with other Jesus followers is like for us today. As part of a church, we meet together, and we learn from God’s Word; we pray together, we praise God, and we see miracles take place.

As part of a church, we share with others, give to needy people, and share meals. Kingdom people know we don’t do the journey of being a Jesus follower on our own. We are better together.

God’s Word encourages us not to give up on meeting together but to commit to being part of a church community that loves and encourages one another and welcomes others.
