WORKING the WORDSample

WORKING the WORD

DAY 3 OF 5

BELIEVE IT

John 6:29 “Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” (NIV)

To work the Word of God, the second of four choices you need to make is Believe It. Is it possible to ingest something and not believe it? It is not everything you have read that you believe. You must choose to believe God’s Word. Faith is a choice. Faith is a decision. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. But it is also a decision you have to make. Psalm 119:30 “I have chosen the way of truth and faithfulness; Your ordinances have I set before me.” (AMPC) It is a choice. Faith may not always be rational. But faith is purely relational because friends take their friends at their word. You have a relationship with Jesus, you believe what Jesus says. Biblical faith is choosing to believe something is true because you believe Someone is truthful.

2 Timothy 1:12 “…I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him...” (NIV) Paul did not say I know what I have believed. If all you have believed is what, when that what comes under fire, you lose your faith. But if it is a person (whom) you have believed, and the what comes under fire, you may not understand the what but you know whom you have believed. You may be thinking that your world is falling apart. You may not understand what is going on. But do you know whom you have believed? If you know whom, you will survive the season.

So, what about doubts? The truth is that if you never had any doubts, you would not need any faith. Faith is what carries you through the doubts. In spite of the way things look, the way things seem, the way you feel, you make a choice to believe. John 11:40 “Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” I am going to believe God, and I am going to take Him at His Word. Will you? It is a choice we all have to make. I believe the Word of God. In spite of how things look, choose to believe.

I believe the Word that says, "All those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them." (Luke 4:40) Therefore, everyone needing healing, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, receive your healings. Everyone that needs clarity, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, receive clarity. Everyone that needs salvation, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, as you choose Jesus today, you will receive your salvation. Do you believe what God has said about your health? Do you believe that as your days are so shall your strength and your health be? (Deuteronomy 33:25). Do you believe what God has said about your finances, that you will lend to nations, and you will not borrow? (Deuteronomy 15:6). Do you believe?

Prayer: Father, in the Name of Jesus, I ask that by Your Spirit that You grow my faith and rid me of doubt completely. Amen.
