Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 7ნიმუში

Probably everyone knows this situation: You are standing in front of your wardrobe wondering what to wear.
In today’s chapter, Paul gives us wonderful styling tips.
Colossians verses 12-14 in The Message translation reads thus:
“So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offence. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.” Colossians 3:12-14.
We are chosen for a life of love. We should wear love like a basic all-purpose garment and show compassion, kindness, and humility to the people around us. This wardrobe is not a jacket that we only put on when we are leaving the house to go to school, work, or shopping, and it’s not a garment that we take off in the evenings. No, God’s love is the source of love itself, and He should flow out from our inner being at any time and place.
The next time you are standing in front of your wardrobe wondering what to wear, choose love. It matches everything and is never out of fashion. There is a saying that goes: “Fine feathers make fine birds.” So wear love. It makes you look good!
