The Word Works in Marriage

DAY 2 OF 7

What are You Putting Your Hope in today?

Isaiah 40:31“I am one of those that hope in the Lord my God, and He will renew my strength. I will soar on wings like eagles; I will run and not grow weary; I will walk and not be faint.”

What are you putting your hope in when it comes to your marriage, your family, your health, and your finances? Have you decided today to be one of those people who chooses Hope?

You have the power to change today! HOPE is the anchor of your soul. Think about an anchor to a large ship in the ocean. No matter the size of the waves or the winds, you want an anchor that will hold you firmly through the storms. This is not an anchor that holds you back but rather an anchor that holds you steady and true. Let’s make that choice right now!

Say this out loud:

I am one of those that Hope in the Lord my God.

Good job! When we declare the Word out loud, we declare the truth about ourselves, our spouse, our family, and our future. It becomes about the God who loves and cares for us instead of the pain from our past or the problems of today.

There is life in the power of your words! (Proverbs 18:21) Your words have the power of life and death. Choose how you will use your words today to inspire hope in yourself and others.

Prayer

God, thank you that today I am anchored by the mighty arm of Jesus. I am anchored to the author and perfector of my faith. I chose HOPE today because it will hold me steady and true. When I speak the Word of God, I align myself, my marriage, and my family under the mighty power of God instead of relying on my own strength. By declaring His Word, I am Fully Alive and anchored to Father God.

Action Step

Take today’s scripture and personalize it by placing your name in the blanks and declaring it out loud.

“___________ is one of those that chooses to hope in the Lord my God, and God will renew ___________ strength. ____________ will soar on wings like eagles; _________ will run and not grow weary; __________ will walk and not be faint.”
