Yesterday we talked about how great the love of God is. It’s unearned, undeserved yet freely given. What a gift!

And as I mentioned before, I can’t help but respond to Him in thankfulness and worship. I can’t help but pour my love out on Him because of how He has and continues to pour His love out on me.

There’s just something so powerful about surrendering and giving ourselves wholly to God. It’s not about doing it in order to get something from God, but it’s all about drawing closer to Him. As we pray, sing, spend time in His Word, and invest ourselves in His House — the church — that is when we give Him the opportunity to transform us from the inside out.

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

God wants what’s best for you, and He desires to give you His best. He’s the lover of our souls, and I pray that we would always rest in and surrender to that love.
