Love God Greatly: Walking In WisdomSample
WEEK 5 – WISDOM IN TEMPTATION
SOAP – Proverbs 1:19
Believers are warned to have wisdom regarding our companions. We are to avoid those who entice us to disregard God, do evil, or tempt us with promises of easy gain. The desire to take what we have not earned is a trap that will destroy the one who acts upon it.
In what areas of your life are you tempted to cheat, lie, or steal in order to succeed? The bait of Satan is to distract us from pursuing the only One who will ever make us complete and content. Believers must fight to avoid that distraction.
Father God, I thank You for Your divine protection. Protect me from those who mean to distract me and draw me away from You. Help me to recognize the bait of Satan and remain completely satisfied with all that You have given me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
