Love God Greatly: Walking In Wisdom

DAY 31 OF 40

SOAP – Proverbs 6:32
Believers are warned to flee the temptation of sexual sin. God has a very high regard for marriage, having created this sacred union to be the physical representation of His loving relationship with Church. Adultery corrupts God’s good creation of marriage. Jesus took it even further stating that lust and sexual fantasizing are the same as committing adultery. Therefore, believers must avoid not only the physical act of adultery, but also avoid all of the triggers that create lustful thoughts within us.

Are you struggling with sexual sin? Are you grieving the aftermath of an adulterous affair? Satan’s desire is to corrupt God’s holy institution of marriage. When it comes to any sexual sin, believers are called to quickly flee temptation and avoid the situation altogether. Only the love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness of God can heal the consequences of adultery and sexual sin.

Father God, I thank You for Your grace and mercy which covers any sin. Lord, cleanse my heart of any impure thoughts or behaviors. Expose any secret or hidden things in my marriage. Give me the willingness to forgive and pray against any behaviors that do not reflect You. I thank You that where sin abounds, Your grace is so much deeper. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
