Five Days in Creation for Parents and KidsSample
Parents: For each day during this week’s devotional, take a brief walk with your little one noticing different aspects of creation. For example, one day, you may walk in a dense forest and observe the moss and squirrels. On another day, you may walk near an herb garden or spend a few moments in the backyard watching the birds and butterflies. We’ll make suggestions on each day’s devotional, but feel free to choose to do something different.
Today: Take a walk or step into the backyard at sunset.
Say something like:
Even at sunset, we can see God’s beautiful creation. What do you see? (Discuss the beautiful colors of the sky, the fireflies, the moon, the stars, etc.)
Listen to all the sounds around us. What do you hear? (Discuss what you hear, including the rustling leaves, croaking frogs, chirping crickets, etc.)
Did you know that all creation sings praises to God? God made the whole world—every rock, animal, tree, and star is a beautiful reflection of His great work. Psalm 19 tells us that the days begin and the nights end with shouts of praise to God.
Pray: Close with a prayer praising God. Ask God to help you see the creation’s reflection of Him and hear its shouts of praise.

About this Plan
Each day, take a walk with your little one to a different destination in creation and hear the unique songs of joy that praise God there. Using five different Psalms, you’ll explore the delight of the sun, moon, stars, earth, sky, water, and animals. You and your child will learn to praise God in a new way during this five-day devotional.
