DAY 3 OF 14

Observe & Interpret

1. Read: Revelation 4.1-11. Summarize this passage in your own words.

2. Who is present in the throne room of God? What is everyone doing?

3. What attributes and actions of God are they focused upon? Why do you think they choose these specific attributes to praise?

4. Read: Revelation 5.1-14. Summarize this passage in your own words.

5. How is Jesus Christ described in this passage? What is His role?

6. Read 1 Peter 1.18-21. How does Revelation 5 inform our understanding of Peter’s message to early believers?

Apply

1. What competes for our worship in daily life? Why are these things so appealing?

2. What practical steps can we take to focus our worship towards God alone? How and when can we set aside time to be still & reflect upon His creative & redeeming power in our lives?

3. Prayerfully determine the main biblical truth or principle that God revealed to you during your study. A few questions to ask are: Is there a promise for me to claim? Is there a truth for me to believe? Is there a command for me to obey?

4. Memorize: Revelation 5:13 'Then I heard every creature—in heaven, on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and all that is in them—singing: “To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb be praise, honor, glory, and ruling power forever and ever!”'

Day 2Day 4

About this Plan

Alpha & Omega

The Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book about what will happen in the future; but perhaps more importantly, it’s a book about who controls the future. More than sixty years after Jesus rose from the dead, He appears once again to His disciple John to tell him about the things to come. John sees Jesus in a whole new way: He is now risen, glorified, and clearly in charge of the universe. Jesus is Lord of everyone, everywhere, forever. The question for you and me is whether we will trust Him with our lives, believing that He holds both the present and the future in His all-powerful and loving hands.
