Alpha & Omega

DAY 5 OF 14

Observe & Interpret

1. Read: Revelation 7. Summarize the flow of the passage in your own words. What do you see happening?

2. How does Revelation 7 contrast Revelation 6 (and 8)?

3. How is God fulfilling his promises to Israel through this passage? (See Genesis 12:1-3, 2 Samuel 7:10-13, Romans 11:25-26)

4. How is God fulfilling his promise to all nations through this passage? (See Genesis 12:3, Matthew 28:18)

5. What stands out from the end of the passage, verses 15-17? How does God care for us like he cares for these Tribulation Saints?

Apply

1. These are amazing future promises, but we know that our knowledge of the future can impact our experience in the present. How can you experience now the promises provided here in Revelation chapter 7?

2. How can your community participate in God’s global mission? A few ideas:

  • Go on a short or long-term overseas or domestic trip
  • Pray for unreached nations and people groups using tools like Joshua Project resources
  • Welcome the nations that are here, like international students
  • Mobilize others by telling them about God’s heart for all nations
  • Give financially to God’s global work

3. Memorize: Revelation 7:9-10

About this Plan

Alpha & Omega

The Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book about what will happen in the future; but perhaps more importantly, it’s a book about who controls the future. More than sixty years after Jesus rose from the dead, He appears once again to His disciple John to tell him about the things to come. John sees Jesus in a whole new way: He is now risen, glorified, and clearly in charge of the universe. Jesus is Lord of everyone, everywhere, forever. The question for you and me is whether we will trust Him with our lives, believing that He holds both the present and the future in His all-powerful and loving hands.
