Real Hope: All InSample
More Than 100%
The Christian life is truly a phenomenal opportunity and privilege granted to anyone who responds to follow Jesus Christ. In John 10:10b Jesus promises His followers – ‘I have come that they may have life and have it to the full’.
This is a huge promise backed up by a huge investment by Jesus Himself. He laid down His life for us (John 10:11) not only proving the size of His commitment to us but also releasing the power of that commitment within us to sustain our spiritual life.
The Apostle Paul, who also models what it is to be ‘all in’ in his Christian life, emphasises four things in his famous Galatians 2:20 statement (above). Firstly, he is 'all in' in identifying with Christ’s crucifixion. Secondly, and consequently, he recognises and allows Christ to live in him. Thirdly, he acknowledges that he is living ‘by faith in the Son of God’. He goes beyond living by his own faith. Finally, he constantly reminds himself that Christ gave Himself up for us because He loved us. Jesus was all in for me – ‘heart and soul’.
I remember when I was a young Christian that I asked God about His commitment to me. I expected that He would be ‘all in’ at 100%. I now know that He is all in more than 100% and I now realise that I, too, should be all in for Him.

About this Plan
The decision to accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour is not one to be made lightly. God does not ask us to only follow Him when times are good. He does not ask us to only obey Him when we feel like it. He does not ask for half of our heart. No, He asks for all of us. For us to deny ourselves and pick up our cross and follow Him. What does a life that is ‘all in’ for Christ look like? Through this plan, we will be looking at just that. How we can live lives that are ‘all in’ for Christ and how can we encourage one another as we run this race of faith?
