Mindful Parenting

DAY 2 OF 4

And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink. Exodus 2:3 (KJV)

We are limited in our human capacity to protect our children. Thus, we must not cling to our children in fearful and emotionally dysfunctional ways. Like Moses' mother, let's place our children in God’s ark by bringing them into the covenant of peace and divine protection. We can release our children into the world (school, career, new environments, etc.) by faith and trust God to protect them.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for protecting my children. In the name of Jesus, help me overcome dysfunctional relationships with my children. Show me how to bring them into a covenant relationship with you. I put my trust in you and surrender the well-being of my children to you. Thank you for your faithfulness in taking care of my household. Alleluia!
