What's Holding You Back?Sample
PROCLAIMING CHRIST
The conversation between the Samaritan woman and Jesus was indeed life-giving. He spoke to the thirst of her soul, which up and until then, she was seeking to get quenched in relationships with men. Every one of us has three core thirsts. To know we are loved, to understand our value, and to know our lives have meaning and purpose. The truth is when we find our identity in our relationship with Christ, the water He gives quenches those thirsts eternally. We need God’s spirit and truth to dwell in us as our foundation of worship. The fruit of this is sharing the good news. John 4:28 tells us how the Samaritan woman left her water jar and went to the village to tell people about Jesus.
We live in a world where people struggle, and many feel hopeless. What the world needs right now are messengers of hope, Christ carriers. Jesus requires you and me to be His hands and feet in a broken world. The skillsets and gifting He has knit in you create the platform for you to share this good news message.
Everyone generally avoided the Samaritans as a group of people. But John 4:4 says that Jesus “had to go through Samaria.” “Why?” I hear you ask. The answer is because He had a divine appointment with a woman whose life was being held back even more than the people of Samaria. Jesus spoke truth and life to her soul, and it liberated her to a position of such authority and confidence that she instantly went to share this good news. Jesus has a divine appointment with you too.

PRAY:
Jesus, I pray for an ever-deepening revelation of your love for me. Thank you for coming to this earth to die for me. Thank you that even before the earth’s foundations were laid, You had a plan and purpose for me. Help me become a hope bringer to the world around me. Amen
