DAY 3 - A Gift That Keeps Giving
When God made you, He designed you with a purpose. And He’s given you everything you need to fulfill the calling He’s placed on your life.
As you come to know God more deeply and experience His presence, you become more and more like Him.
God supplies all our needs according to His purpose, and from that overflow, we’re called to serve others.
2 Corinthians 9 puts it this way: “What you are doing is much more than a service that supplies God's people with what they need. It is something that will make many others thank God. The way in which you have proved yourselves by this service will bring honor and praise to God. You believed the message about Christ, and you obeyed it by sharing generously with God's people and with everyone else.”
When you give out of the generosity of your heart, you can expect God to show up and bless others through you.
Coming out of the pandemic, Akash decided to check out Elevation Toronto. He felt touched by God during worship and the sermon and raised his hand to give his life to Christ at the end of the worship experience. A couple months later, Akash started serving on the Production Team where he felt called to do even more for the ministry.
He heard about an Outreach event happening in downtown Toronto at WoodGreen, a social service agency supporting those facing extreme poverty and homelessness. He handed out groceries at the food bank and saw firsthand the food insecurity people were facing. Seeing this need inspired him to start serving regularly. Akash now hosts Outreach events around his city.
The gifts God gave Akash equipped him to be a blessing to others. And He’s given you exactly what you need to make a difference today.
