He Will Make All Things Right!

DAY 6 OF 11

The design of our bodies assures us that God will finish His work

We are made in the image of God, as Genesis 1:26 declares, “Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

To know that God created us to be uniquely like Him gives us a future and a hope. We can never be God because we are finite and created, but we will become like Him when we see Him as He is (1 John 3:2).

Our bodies are exquisitely designed! The miracle of birth, all by itself, is so amazing! The miraculous development of the baby from two cells joined together to becoming a complete living human being, the incredible transition from living in a liquid environment to emerging into our world breathing air, would be beyond belief if we didn’t witness it over and over. We have miles and miles of blood and lymph vessels, carrying nutrients to each cell and carrying away the waste. Our heart pumps faithfully for our entire lifetime with no vacations. Our immune systems are magnificent; protecting us from many diseases and invaders that we never even know about. Our brains are more complex than the most highly developed computers, which are very fast and they can think intuitively to an extent, but never like us because they do not have souls and spirits. When we accidentally cut our finger – how and why does it heal? The process is absolutely amazing, and by itself demonstrates the goodness of God.

The psalmist in Psalm 139:13-17, said it well, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!

Reflection: Our bodies are amazing miracles, even when they have problems. So, can we relax in the presence of the perfect God who created us, trusting Him to hold the whole of eternity in His hands?

About this Plan

He Will Make All Things Right!

With chaos seeming to rule all over the world: wars, persecution, shortages, famine, etc; we need to know if we’ll get through this life, and if God cares. The overwhelming conclusion is “Yes, God will make all things right!” Walk with us through scripture passages that encourage us to lift our eyes and rejoice in His sovereignty over all things.
