You Are Called to be a SaintSample
Saints pray for each other
“Keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints” (Ephesians 6:18).
Prayer is important. Jesus encourages us to pray regularly for our own needs and for “all the saints.” He leaves us an example in John 17, where He prays for all the people who believe in Him. He asks God the Father to keep them safe from Satan, fill them with true happiness, and sanctify them in the truth to make them fully qualified to serve in God’s Kingdom.
The apostles give similar examples in their letters. Believers pray for fellow Christians that they may stand mature and fully assured in God’s will (Colossians 4:12) that God will help them grow in faith and live a life that honors Him. We can bring these very important requests before God’s throne.
Sometimes, there are particular situations we can pray for, for example, when someone from our local church is severely ill or is struggling with doubt and depression. If you are in a difficult situation yourself, don’t hesitate to share your troubles with fellow believers so that they can pray for you!
Do you regularly pray for others, especially for fellow Christians?
About this Plan
Being a Christian means that you belong to Jesus Christ and are called to live a holy life devoted to His glory; in other words, to be a saint. This has an enormous impact on your life. It changes your position towards God and towards other people, and it has consequences for your choices. Becoming a saint is not optional. It is the calling of every believer.
