The Listening Side of Prayerნიმუში

Day 7: Reflect
Now this may be a tough question. But take a minute and really ask yourself, am I truly listening?
The listening side of prayer requires just that...we must be attentive to hear.
This means we should give God the space to speak. We live in such a fast-paced society that in the middle of the hustle and bustle we forget to slow down. Many times when we pray, myself included, we do all the talking and say amen without giving the Lord the chance to respond. Imagine all the wonderful things God has wanted to share with you, and those moments passed right on by because we are just moving way too fast.
My friend, stay encouraged! Be attentive and don’t lose excitement to hear from the Lord! Rest assured that when He is silent, He is, in fact, at work for your good! He loves you so much.
My heart’s prayer for you is that you would thirst for the presence of God the way David did.
I hope this plan has helped you grow closer to God. For more Bible plans like this, and the Do Not Diminish podcast where we discuss deep Christian topics checkout the YouTube link and others at https://linktr.ee/jaygrubz

About this Plan

When we pray, it’s far more important for us to hear what God has to say to us rather than what we want to say to Him. For most of us, prayer is too often a 1-way conversation. This devotional will explore ways we can better listen to what our Father is saying to us.
