Psalms Of Praise And The Word

DAY 10 OF 10

Enthused with Joy

The book of Psalms ends with an invitation to ecstatic praise (Psalm 150). The contexts for praise are ubiquitous. Praise can be given to God anytime and anywhere, whether on earth in God’s house, or in heaven in his stronghold. The reasons for praise are manifold. You can praise God for anything or everything, from his miracles of might to his magnificent greatness.

The instruments for praise are endless — ranging from pianos and guitars to drums and trumpets. The methods of praise are varied too, whether you are dancing before the Lord or making music and song. Everyone, everywhere, can bring God ecstatic praise. Let them be a crescendo — an ever-increasing, ever-expanding shout of praise. Let them above all be characterized by this one great thing: that they are “enthused with joy.”

Ask the Holy Spirit to enthuse you with joy. Release your ecstatic praise to God. Let your awe and thankfulness and celebration of his goodness burst forth from you in every way you can imagine!

About this Plan

Psalms Of Praise And The Word

The Psalms find the words that express our deepest and strongest emotions, no matter what the circumstances. These devotions, inspired by The Passion Translation Psalms: Poetry on Fire, combined with the daily readings, will turn sighing into singing and trouble into triumph. This 10–day reading plan includes the Psalms of praise and the Word spanning Psalms 107-150.
