7 Day Married Couple’s Connection Challenge

DAY 4 OF 7

The Bible is full of people “remembering” and calls to “remember.” Calls to remember God and an abundance of ceremonies and traditions built on remembering what God has done. Calls to remember each other and the poor and the marginalized. Calls to remember the gospel. Letters to the early church where the author begins by remembering the work of faithful Christians and remembering the recipients of the letters in their prayers. Calls to remember how God has provided in the past.

In the same way that “forgetfulness” is sometimes tied to sin and foolishness in the Bible, there seems to be something sacred about “remembering” in the Bible.

Today let’s take that “remembering” stance when it comes to your marriage and focus specifically on emotional connection.

Emotional intimacy is important in marriage. It draws you close, helps you understand each other, and builds trust in your union.

We can’t solely rely on our love deposits from the past, but there is something special about taking a walk down memory lane to reminisce on the good times you’ve shared together and the love you’ve built together.

Here’s your challenge: Today your challenge is to search the archives of your social media, online photo storage, phone, or physical photo books for an old photo of you two. Find one you really love and share it with your spouse. Tell them what you love about that photo.
