Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith Sample

“If ______ happens, that will be more than I can bear.”  Sometimes we say this in our minds.  We think, “I couldn’t handle that.”  Or “That would be too much.”  The truth though is that oftentimes God does give us more than we can bear.  He will stretch us and allow situations to overwhelm us.  And during those times, He often asks us to wait when all we want is a quick fix.  The promise is not that life will be easy or that we will not be burdened.  The promise is that He is with us always and that His burden is light.  Let’s trust in Emmanuel—God With Us—to carry us even when we become overwhelmed.  He will bear our burdens and handle situations for us if we will be still and know that He is in control.

Pray for:

• The Church to have a childlike trust and faith in God’s constant presence.

• Us to be strengthened through God’s word.

• The fear in our hearts to be lifted.
