Rekindling Romance in Your Marriage

DAY 2 OF 7

Set a Date!

1 Corinthians 7:3 “The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs.”

As in all areas of Christian life, the key to a fulfilled and passionate relationship is intentionality. We must be intentional in our marriages and not let our feelings die.

So here’s an excellent antidote: a romantic date! Once a week, take one to two hours just for the two of you. This is not optional! Even if your schedules are overloaded, you need this time, it must not be considered as simply a luxury!

Every other week, alternate who plans your romantic date. Choose a place you like, where you can feel rested. No cell phones allowed - turn them off! Do not talk about your problems or about work. Do not try to fix anything.

What should you talk about then? About your life with God, your dreams, your marriage, your feelings, and your physical intimacy. Be romantic and rekindle the flame that burned in you before you got married!
