Divine Interceptions

DAY 4 OF 7

"Premature Exaltation"

None of God’s words will be delayed and every word God speaks will be fulfilled completely and accomplished in our lives.  In life, people and circumstances will negatively attempt to take or hinder what God has promised you, but remember that God’s word will be accomplished. Even when it looks like everything is final and there is no rectifying the issue, remember that God’s word will be accomplished!

God comes through in divine interceptions, He will always fulfill what he said.  In the case of Solomon, God made a covenant with David stating that He would raise up a descendent who would be born to David, and God would establish his kingdom (2 Samuel 7:12).

Adonijah, David’s son prematurely exalted himself up as King. Adonijah began establishing himself so people would know that he was the next king of Israel & Judah. Even in the midst of his father not rebuking his actions Adonijah set up his faux royal counsel, sacrificed offerings, invited royal family members and guests, hosted a feast, had chariots, horses and runners.

To Solomon and those around him who witnessed Adonijah’s acts of premature exaltation one would have concluded that since David did nothing about this, Adonijah was in fact the next King to reign after David, BUT even when things appeared final, God comes through in Divine Interceptions. David told Bathesheba that the promise that was made to her regarding her son being king after David would come into fruition this very day. (1 Kings 1:30).

In the middle of Adonijah’s faux ceremony, the real anointing of a new king took place and people began to notice. David had Solomon ride on King David’s mule, anointed by the priest and the trumpet sounded proclaiming “Long live King Solomon!”  People talked about it, went up after him and rejoiced with music and exhibited great joy that the earth shook.

This divine interception was so noticeable that the whole region knew without a doubt that God had intercepted what rightfully belonged to King Solomon despite what was going on around him. This serves as encouragement for you today, no matter what it looks like when people pass you up, attempt to take what rightfully belongs to you or mock you remember that God sees and hears all and will come through and put everything in order in your life.

God comes through in Divine Interceptions.
