What Can You Do?Sample

What is something that is really important to you? It could be something tangible like your phone or a favorite book or a pet. Or it could be a friendship or a person in your life that you really admire. God tells us that whatever we treasure shows the condition of our heart and where our true desires are. He told us to get rid of material things so that we will store up treasure in Heaven instead of on earth. If we are focused too much on earthly things like Tik Tok followers or money, our focus may be taken off of what really matters--like our relationship with Jesus. This doesn’t mean that you need to get rid of every possession that you have, it just means that we need to evaluate what we think is the most important stuff in our life. Make sure that your possessions aren’t more important than your relationships, or that they are causing you to take your focus off of Jesus.

Challenge: Today we challenge you to take a look at the stuff that you have, and give something away in order to serve someone else. Try making a list today of things that are really important to you, and think about what should and shouldn’t be on that list. Then, use your list to help you decide what is something you can give away. Thank God for all of the things He has given you, and use some of them to bless others.
