Tell Your Story With or Without Words

Okay, by now, you might be feeling a little excited about the chance to tell anyone who’s interested about the hope and game-changing experiences you’ve had with Jesus. 

Or you might be feeling a little unsure still. Maybe chatting with others isn’t something you’re super comfortable with. That’s okay! You don’t have to walk up to random strangers. Just start with your friends. 

And if you’re still feeling unsure? Well, watch this video for an idea on how to share the game-changing goodness of Jesus—without using any words at all!

Mind. Blown. 

But what if you’re not a painter? No worries! What do you enjoy doing? 

Sports? Maybe you bow to pray quietly before you play or practice each day. Others can see it and may choose to ask you about it. 

Dancing? Maybe you ask to dance to a song that glorifies God.

Singing? Maybe you can sing about Jesus. 

Caring for animals? Maybe you offer to care for animals in your neighborhood when their owners are away—for free—and you tell them you’re doing it because you feel called to care for God’s animals. 

Caring for the environment? Maybe you do a trash clean-up walk through your neighborhood once a week while wearing a t-shirt that shows something about how you’re caring for God’s creation. 

Today’s Bible reading is a story Jesus told about how three people used money that was given to them. One invested the money and earned tons more money from it! One dug a pit and hid the money. God is looking for people to help grow His family of believers. Remember: The ways you can help grow His family are absolutely endless! Don’t hide your relationship with Him. It was a game changer for you—and it can be for someone else, too! 

Ask yourself: If someone were to watch me from afar for a month, would they be able to see that I loved and followed Jesus? If not, how can I make it easier to spot that I live for Him?

Challenge yourself: Think through the things you do each week. Identify one thing you could do to make God visible as you go about your activities. Pray before you do that thing this week, and be ready to talk to anyone who might ask you about why you choose to honor God the way you do. 

Pray: God, thank You for making each one of us different and special. Help me to use the way 

You made me to make You famous! I want to show Your love and truth to anyone who sees me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
