DAY 2 OF 5

KNOWING THE FAITHFUL GOD

I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, (Philippians 3:10)

The Apostle Paul who wrote the most letters and teachings to the churches had one great desire: to know God more. Even though there have been many teachings delivered by the Apostle Paul, the most important teaching for him is a personal experience to know God even more.

This should become our desire as believers as well. We must be careful, though we are involved in a lot of ministries, to keep our focus on Christ. Do we long for personal experiences to get to know Him better? Hosea said the same thing when he invited the Israelites to know God correctly.

Knowing the true and faithful God is not a difficult thing for believers. It is about a thirsty and hungry heart towards Him. The Bible says that those who are thirsty and hungry will be satisfied by God. We ask the Lord to give us hearts that are hungry and thirsty for Him. Jesus said that He is gentle. He invites us to come and learn from Him. Learn from God to get to know Him better.

We are so thankful to the Lord as He is a very good Father. He does not hide from us. He is the Almighty God who wants to introduce Himself to us through Jesus Christ.

Our intimacy with God in prayer, worship, and meditation on His Word will make us know Him more deeply.
