Questions to consider:
1. What does this passage teach you about God?
2. What does this teach you about humanity and the world?
3. List the things the Lord promises David. How is Jesus a fulfillment of these promises? How does knowing that God keeps His promise to David help you to trust Him with your circumstances?
4. How does David respond to the Lord’s promise? Write down a prayer of thanksgiving to God for the things that He has given you and for His character.
Let’s pray:
Lord I thank You that you are a Promise Maker and a Promise Keeper. Thank You for all the things You have blessed me with like _______. Help me to remember Your faithfulness and kindness in both times of joy and sorrow.
