2 SamuelSample
Questions to consider:
1. What does this passage teach you about God?
2. What does this teach you about humanity and the world?
3. By whose power is David able to defeat his enemies, according to verses 6 and 14? As you go about your day, whose strength do you rely upon—yours or the Lord’s? How would your life be different if you depended on the Lord’s strength?
4. After David defeats his enemies, what does he do with the silver and gold (verse 11)? Today, what would it look like for you to use the gifts and resources that God has given you to praise Him?
Let’s pray:
Father, I can do nothing apart from You. God, You alone are all-powerful and sovereign. Today, as I am tempted to live out of my own self-sufficiency, help me to be dependent on You instead. Lord, everything I have is Yours: let my resources, words, and actions glorify You today.
