Book of Ezekiel

DAY 2 OF 12

BEFORE THE GLORY OF THE LORD

But I the Lord will speak what I will, and it shall be fulfilled without delay. (Ezekiel 12:25a)

The more an object is brought to the light, the clearer we will see the condition of that object.

Likewise, if we are in the light of God, we will become more obvious to others. That's why we do not play games in front of God because everything is clearly visible before Him.

The Word of God is said to be a lamp or a source of light that can search everything in our heart. The Word of God investigated the heart of the Israelites, from the kings and leaders of the land to religious leaders. Many of Israel’s leaders thought that the God of Israel had forsaken them, so they sought guidance from the idols and gods of foreign nations.

Idols cannot survive in the glory of God. Is there any idol that we hide, something that we prefer more than God? That is our heart’s idol. The Spirit of God that is given to us is a jealous spirit, which means that God does not want to be second place in our lives.

Lord Jesus said that we cannot serve two masters. If we do this, we will surely fall. Let there be no hidden idol in our heart and mind. Because we are made by God for His glory alone, we must always purify ourselves from the pollution of the world so that we are worthy to be filled by the glory of God.

The Spirit of God that is given to us is a jealous spirit, which means that God does not want to be second place in our lives.
