DAY 4 OF 12

THE WORD OF GOD IS PURE

Yet I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you. (Ezekiel 16:60)

If there is a fake item, then first, there must be a genuine item. If we spend money to buy an item of value and it turns out to be a fake, what is our reaction? We will go back to the shop and ask for accountability from that shop.

The Israelites, however, preferred to hear what was said by false prophets than to listen to genuine prophets of God like Ezekiel. Why? Because what was said by Ezekiel was unpleasant to their ears. They preferred to listen to false prophets because their words were pleasant, unlike the true prophets of God who conveyed many warnings and rebukes.

What about us these days? Do we just listen to the Word of God that is nice to hear and refuse the Word of God that admonishes or warns us?

The Word of God is pure and everything God says is for our good. God's Word will be fulfilled. Therefore, let us open our hearts as wide as possible for God’s truth, because behind every warning and advice from the Word are the promises of God.

The Word of God is pure and everything God says is for our good.
