Right Decisions and Applications

DAY 7 OF 7

Trust God’s Sovereignty

When Jesus was being taken, He said that He could call down a ton of angels to easily wipe every one of those men who arrested Him. He is the Son of God: of course He could! But He chose to believe that even in the situation He was in, God had a plan. I encourage you to be like Jesus. Do not only remain godly and good, but trust in God’s sovereignty, power, and provision.

We see through the book of Matthew, chapter 26, the story of Mary of Bethany and the betrayal of Judas. We have one person making the right decisions and another making the wrong decisions. Walk with God by choosing the right places and the good trades, and by allowing Him to do His work in your life, even when life gets tough. Don’t be a follower who starts and stops their relationship with God. Trust that He has a purpose, just like Jesus did. Trust that He will work everything for your good. He is powerful and sovereign and He will never forsake you.

Choosing to follow Christ means you have Him as your leader. It does not mean life will be easy, but you will have His Spirit to guide you. You will have His Father preparing the work and He will do great things in your life. Your heart will be ready for the sweetness of God.

Pray this prayer as we conclude the devotional: “Father, we thank you for Mary of Bethany. We thank You that we can look at her life and look at Jesus and see who we truly want to be. We ask that you make us more like You. Do Your work in our lives. May we be Your followers and people who keep asking ‘How can I give?’ May we be people who are givers and not getters. May You give us the power and strength to walk with You daily. In Your Son’s name, we pray, Amen.”

Day 6

About this Plan

Right Decisions and Applications

Are you in the right place physically, spiritually, emotionally? Disobedience and unrighteousness before the Lord are always a bad choice. Choose to walk with Him, in the good times and in the bad. Trust God’s goodness and provision.
