CONVERSATION STARTERS

Q1)  If you could know what was going to happen in the future, would you rather know what would happen in 2 years’ time, 50 years’ time or two hundred years’ time?

Q2)  How do you think the world will be different in 50 years?

What does the Bible say about the future? 

• We don’t need to worry about the future.

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will
we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” (Matthew 6:31-34)

• One day, God will make all things right again.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among His people! He will live with them, and they will be His people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” (Revelation 21:1-4)
