Book of Judges

DAY 6 OF 7

GOD IS EVERYTHING

Everyone needs to know their strength and weaknesses. Even as believers who have received salvation freely from God, we need to recognize our weaknesses. For Samson, his weakness was his own desires. He failed to keep his commitment to God because of a woman. Even though his was physically very strong he was defeated by his own weakness—his desires.

In these end times, the devil tries very hard to fool the children of God by offering things that look good to our desires. If we are not aware of this trap, we can easily fall, following ungodly desires, leaving our faith and everything that the Lord has entrusted us. Finally, we become an object of entertainment of the devil just as Samson became an object of performance for the Philistines.

When Samson fell into the hand of the enemy, his eyes were put out and he became blind. The same happens to us. When we fall into the hand of devil, our eyes become blind and darkness will always follow us until we turn our eyes to God.

In the end, Samson realized that God was everything he had in life. It is the same for us. Life is not about what you have, but Whom we have in this life.

God is more than enough for us.
