A Father’s BlessingSample
The Blessing of A Father.
“Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.” 1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV
In 1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV, David, the king of Israel, pronounces this powerful blessing over Israel and his son king Solomon. David, had come to the end of his reign and had finished his assignment. David, a Father and king pronounced this powerful blessing over his people and over the future king, his son Solomon. David had the privilege to impart and pronounce the blessing over his son and to speak life over all of Israel. Fathers have the ability to impart.
Fathers lay the foundation. Fathers build the framework for success. Fathers have the opportunity to become the pattern for their successors to follow. As king, David had set the pattern for the nation to follow his instruction as David followed God.
Everything that’s under your stewardship, everything that’s under your domain, everything that’s under your authority, you have the responsibility to set the pattern for others to follow. You have the ability and responsibility to become the example of a good and faithful steward.
David had the opportunity to steward and lead a nation. David also had the opportunity to be a father and a husband. Whether you’re stewarding a nation, family or a community you have the choice to lead, serve and steward well. Serve after God’s Own Heart.
