21 Days To A Teenager’s Spiritual ChangeSample
Get a Grip on Yourself
Our spiritual growth depends not only on God, but also on us. To become similar to Jesus, we need to make choices Jesus made and rely on His Spirit, which will help us put those decisions into actions. Following Christ requires action from us according to new standards, developing new habits, and a conscious change of our thinking. Christian maturity is not shown through our beliefs or declarations, but through our behavior and personality. Results are the products of our actions! To grow spiritually, we need to change our priorities and thinking. To be more like Christ, you need to think according to His standards.
Remember! Your mind can bring either life or death. Everyone has to chose which team they belong to. Is it a team of Caleb and Joshua or the opposite one? You need to choose, because you cannot play on both teams at the same time. Which team do you choose?
Prayer: Lord, thank you that I can renew my mind and that you help me with this difficult task. I want to be more like you in my thinking and behavior. Amen.
Challenge: Changing your thinking (getting a grip on yourself) usually means leaving the old things behind and learning the new ones. Write them all on a piece of paper. Then, think of a plan of action, pray for it, and . . . act!
