Search Me, Test Me, Lead Me

DAY 5 OF 6

Lead Me, God

Welcome back, friend. It’s our fifth day together, so I’m calling you my friend at this point. Cool? Hope so! Anyway, yesterday, we learned that it’s so important to let God lead us. We learned one way we can know where God is leading is by checking out the path He’s given us to follow in His Word.

Today, let’s buckle up and lean into the “lead me in the way everlasting” portion of the Bible verse we’ve been studying, Psalm 139:23-24 NIV. Speaking of buckling up, I’ve got a great video for you to watch. I think it explains this whole concept of God being with us, leading us through all the ups and downs of life perfectly.

See what I meant about buckling up? Man, life isn’t always easy. That’s for sure. But with God’s help and guidance, we can hang on and enjoy the ride! Today, we’re also reading through another Bible chapter written by David (you know—the guy we read about yesterday and from Day 2—and the guy who wrote Psalm 139). Today, we’re reading Psalm 23. It describes more of what it’s like to find our purpose walking with God. God leads us carefully. David compared us to a bunch of sheep and God as our shepherd. David also, of course, mentions how we sometimes walk through dark valleys (one of life’s downs for sure!), but God is with us there, too.

Tomorrow, we’ll wrap things up. I can’t believe it’s almost time to say goodbye already! I feel like we’ve grown a lot together in this Bible Plan. What’s been your favorite Bible verse you’ve read so far? You can go backwards through the days and find it! Maybe you should highlight it so you’ll always remember it. Anyway, see you tomorrow for our final day together.

About this Plan

Search Me, Test Me, Lead Me

Who am I? What am I doing with my life? What can I do? These are questions you might be wrestling with if you’re in the 4th to 6th grade. And, guess what? God will help you find answers to those questions. This six-day Bible Plan digs into Psalm 139:23-24 and teaches you to ask God to search, test, and lead you into the purpose He designed for your life.
