Search Me, Test Me, Lead Me

DAY 4 OF 6

What Can I Do?

Oh, hey there! It’s just me, your friendly Bible Plan. Can you believe it’s already Day 4? After today, we only have two more days left. I hope you’re learning a lot about why it’s important to pray and ask God to search you and test you so you’ll better know who He’s really created you to be—and so you know how you’re doing at living out that purpose.

We’re at the point where you’re asking yourself, What can I do about the purpose God has for me? And, what stands in the way of leaning into the purpose God has for me?

Today and tomorrow, we’re going to dig into the best way to live out the purpose God has for you. Should I spoil it? Ahhh! I can’t wait! I’m going to tell you. The best way to walk in your purpose is to go wherever God leads you—even if it feels a little scary. There. I said it.

Okay, but I hear you asking another question: How can I know where God is leading me? Great question! Remember back to Day 2 when we talked about David and how God chose David to be king based on what He saw inside David? Well, I hope you’re sitting down because I’m about to blow your mind. Guess who wrote the verses we’ve been studying together (Psalm 139:23-24). THAT SAME DAVID! Sorry for shouting, but I just think it’s cool.

Anyway, David knew what it was like to walk with God day in and day out. And you know his recommendation? Learn all about God by reading His Word, the Bible. You’ll read all about it in Psalm 119 today. (YES! Another one written by David!) David basically said that God’s Word is what lights the way for our feet. David didn’t always know where God was leading him, but he followed the light directly in front of him. David’s path was bumpy sometimes, but God was with him, and David praised Him along the way.

Tomorrow, we’ll dig into asking God to lead us.

About this Plan

Search Me, Test Me, Lead Me

Who am I? What am I doing with my life? What can I do? These are questions you might be wrestling with if you’re in the 4th to 6th grade. And, guess what? God will help you find answers to those questions. This six-day Bible Plan digs into Psalm 139:23-24 and teaches you to ask God to search, test, and lead you into the purpose He designed for your life.
