DAY 2 OF 5

Your thinking determines your happiness!

Scientists are discovering more and more that the things that a person thinks about can exert an immense influence on their entire life. One of the books that has had a great influence on my own life is Dr. Caroline Leaf’s Switch On Your Brain. In this book she explains precisely how the human brain works, and then comes to the incredible conclusion that the sheer way in which we think can renew our brains.

The South African-born Dr. Leaf is not only a brilliant scientist but also a dedicated Christian who bases every one of her conclusions on the Bible. It was a revelation to me how Scripture penned thousands of years ago matches up precisely with the latest brain research!

It is therefore unnecessary for people to become ever more forgetful as they age. Dr. Leaf demonstrates through her research that the decline in one’s brain is the direct effect of one’s own negative (toxic) thinking. Through positive thinking, we can renew our brain and enable it to function as it did when we were young!

With Dr. Leaf ’s series of brain exercises, I was able to reverse my own negative thinking about myself, our country and the world. The consequences of this were truly the same as Paul’s conclusion that a Christian is a “new person” (see Colossians 3:10 and Ephesians 4:24).

Refuse to let negative thoughts lower your brain functioning and exert a negative influence on your whole life. As from today, think positively—choose life!
