King David For You

DAY 2 OF 5

Uniquely gifted

What are some of your talents? Writing? Singing? Playing sports? Creating art? These are unique gifts that God has given you to showcase how He has made you!

We read about David yesterday and began to understand who he was. More than just a shepherd boy, he was extremely gifted. His heart was often expressed in song and dance. He wrote many poems and songs to God.

However, David’s unique gifts were not for him to keep to himself. He used his gifts to help those around him. Before becoming king, David was an armor-bearer for King Saul. At times when Saul was feeling down, David would play his lyre and Saul would immediately feel better.

Think about the gifts that God has specifically given to you. They are a personal and intimate expression to God. God has made you to be creative and different from those around you.

How are you expressing the gifts that God has given you? Are there people who are currently in your life that need to experience how uniquely God has made you?

You are a masterpiece. You were perfectly designed by God to make this world a better place with your unique talents and gifts.

Tomorrow we will learn what it’s like to be tested in the face of adversity because of our gifts and still praise God.
