30/30 Challenge Reading Plan

DAY 6 OF 30

You’ve made it to Day 6. Congratulations! Take a moment to thank God for helping you get to this point and celebrate your progress. And remember that little by little, everything changes as we keep doing what God tells us to do. The key is to keep studying the Word so you can make a little more progress one day at a time.

These verses in 2 Timothy show us how the Bible works in our lives to help us change and grow in our faith in God. God’s wisdom teaches us what is right and corrects us when we’re wrong so we can become equipped to do the good things He’s planned for us to do. It’s a process that takes time (usually more time than we’d like) and patience.

Hebrews 6:12 (NIV) says we should “imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised” by God. This is a challenge for most, because in our world today, instant gratification with no inconvenience or effort is often the expectation. In other words, people want what they want, when they want it, without having to discipline themselves or take any responsibility to get it.

The truth is, although we can microwave a meal, there’s no such thing as “microwave Christianity.” The process of spiritual maturity is about “The Law of Gradual Growth,” because little by little, as we make choices that line up with God’s Word and His ways, He works in our lives to make us more like Jesus. And there’s no greater goal we can ever pursue than that!

Walk It Out

Think about an area of your life that you want to change so you can be more like Jesus and have more peace, joy and fulfillment. Meditate on 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and study other scriptures that teach you about the example Jesus gave us for how we should live. Ask God to show you what practical steps you can take, little by little, to get there. Remember: You can do whatever you need to do through Christ who gives you strength!

About this Plan

30/30 Challenge Reading Plan

Are you studying the Bible or just casually reading it? God doesn’t want us to just skim His Word—He wants us to meditate on it and to allow it to change us from the inside out. That’s why Joyce Meyer issued the challenge to study God’s Word for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. This 30-day reading plan consists of encouragement from Joyce that will help you develop the habit of daily scripture reading. We’re confident this study will help you engage with the Bible and discover the impact it can make on your life. Give God 30 days and see what happens!
